LEGAL is the sixth and the last committee of the United Nations General Assembly. The committee is the forum of legal questions in the General Assembly and it is commissioned to assist in the adoption of new treaties for various challenges around the world.

LEGAL committee was created in order to promote international cooperation in the political field and progressive development of international law. This committee deals with the matters such as multinational terrorism, drug control, internal UN-matters, crime prevention, and accountability.

All member states of the United Nations are de jure members of the sixth committee. Each member of the committee is obligated to render the development of international public law. The delegates are expected to look for detailed and efficient solutions, discuss upon the related issues and offer their solutions in equal ways for every member.
